Fly fishing is both a solitary and a community endeavor. We all rely on our own experiences plus those of others to guide us in our experiences. Whether from friends, or relatives, or your local fly shop, we all learn from someone. And, hopefully we all pass on our gathered knowledge and wisdom to others of this generation and the next to enhance and continue our valued tradition.
The Wicked Fly is here to help you learn, experience, and get involved in the greatest activity known to man (no, its not sex, football, or beer… although scotch and hockey run close seconds). Fly fishing is not a “one-size-fits-all” kinda thing, so hopefully you’ll be able to find a heap of useful stuff on our site, specific to your own “brand” of fly fishing.
If you can’t find it here, there are several other organizations whose sole purpose it is to support the heritage, habitat, and community of fly fishing. The largest such organization to further our sport is Trout Unlimited. There are literally dozens of local chapters spread out within each state.
